2018 MLB Minimum Salary is $545,000

The MLB minimum salary for the 2018 season is $545,000.  Unfortunately, most players are still left with additional math.

Math is easy when it involves one number:  your salary.  Math is hard when you are asked to divide your salary by the number of days you are on a MLB roster.

I agree, this should not be hard.  Unfortunately, first year players can find themselves bouncing between MLB and MiLB.  This goes for players added to a MLB roster after June 1 or those expecting a call-up in September.

Players who are called up and sent down on more than one occasion can sometimes feel overwhelmed trying to determine their service time or the correct wage owed.

Thus, as you audit you wages, start with the MLB minimum salary for 2018 and divide it by your service time.
